Elleke Kleinhout
Since 2007, my job as a psychologist consists in accompanying people on individual or team basis, by creating a safe environment in which they can honestly and openly look at what is (sometimes unconsciously) going on from inside.
My own Time out Tune in adventure actually started in 2000, when I participated in an orientation year before my studies. Ever since then, I have been using the experiences and tools from that year, both in my personal traject and in my work.
In 2014 I travelled to South Africa for the first time. I met people and places there that resonated so strongly, that I came back one year later to deepen that experience. In the years after that, South Africa, and especially the bush, became more and more evidently part of my lifepuzzle.
The combination of these experiences brought me back to the essence of that orientation year of mine: how do you bring mind, heart, and hands in balance? How do you lead your life in a course that gives enough attention and space to the soul? I feel privileged to be able to accompany people in this quest, in the amazing setting of Muweti.
Muweti is a small, intimate lodge, started in 2010 by Laura and Mike Joseph. Located in Grietjie Private Nature Reserve, it offers a unique brand based on authentic connection with nature and wildlife, combined with the very personal attention and commitment of the owners and staff. The full-pension accommodation in comfortable chalets and cottage allows you to relax and enjoy the quiet and peace. The game drives in mornings and evenings are led by experienced guides who will share their passion for the bush and lead you into cohabitation with everything that lives around you. Muweti is the ideal place to tune in with nature, and with yourself.

Grietjie Private Nature Reserve is part of the world-renowned Greater Kruger National Park. Located 30 kms south of Phalaborwa, Limpopo Province, it forms part of the Balule Nature Reserve, approximately 55000 ha of African bushveld.
The reserve offers a varied habitat including river frontage on the Olifants river, and supports a healthy diversity of wildlife and an impressive birding list of over 280 species sighted. Big 5 species are encountered frequently on the reserve, but it is a special honour to be privy to the secret lives of the lesser known species.
With no fences between the Kruger Park proper and its neighbours, Grietjie offers a unique and memorable lifestyle, and many residents choose to live here permanently and cohabitate with wildlife on a daily basis.
